Tasting Notes

All of the fruit for this Champagne comes from the estate's vineyards in the Grand Cru of Avize. Floral aromas on the nose abound, yet in the mouth a more restrained quality builds, reflecting the quality of the grapes and their origins. Lemon and biscuit flavours are under-pinned by well integrated acid and a supple structure.

Franck Bonville

Based in the village of Avize in the Cote de Blancs, Olivier Bonville now runs this estate. Olivier's grandfather was a grower, and the domaine has extended to cover more than 20 hectares in Avize, Oger and Cramant - all Grand Cru classified districts. Respect for the environment, meticulous wine-making and a long ageing process ensure Champagnes of finesse are produced. “All of the blanc de blancs champagnes from Franck Bonville are of excellent to outstanding quality, and the older vintages are equal to or better than Salon (the 1976 is better, and the 1985 is roughly of equal quality) but at a far lower price” DAN GINSBURG’S ‘THE ART AND BUSINESS OF CHAMPAGNE’
