Product Profile

Light-Medium Bodied, Dry, Sparkling, Chardonnay, Drink now or cellar, 12% alc.
Tasting Notes
With full yet fine flavours, the 2006 vintage shows a round freshness which is characteristic of Grand Cru Chardonnay Champagnes. A refined but toasty nose leads on to a palate that is beautifully balanced with brioche richness and subtle citrus. There is true complexity too, which will develop further with age.
Producer
Franck Bonville
Based in the village of Avize in the Cote de Blancs, Olivier Bonville now runs this estate. Olivier's grandfather was a grower, and the domaine has extended to cover more than 20 hectares in Avize, Oger and Cramant - all Grand Cru classified districts. Respect for the environment, meticulous wine-making and a long ageing process ensure Champagnes of finesse are produced.
“All of the blanc de blancs champagnes from Franck Bonville are of excellent to outstanding quality, and the older vintages are equal to or better than Salon (the 1976 is better, and the 1985 is roughly of equal quality) but at a far lower price”
