Tasting Notes
Pale straw in colour with aromas of citrus, herbs and fresh pear. A clean, fresh, light style of Vermentino with crisp acidity and notes of citrus, minerality and grassiness on the palate. Perfect with freshly shucked oysters.
Producer
Piero Mancini
Despite already having a successful profession as a dentist, Piero Mancini never abandoned the family tradition and his own real passion for vine growing and wine-making. By the end of the 1970’s the Piero Mancini Vineyard covered a total of 70 hectares in one of the most renowned areas in Sardinia: the Gallura Region.
The vineyard terrain is predominantly granite and dates back almost 300 million years; its morphology is quite soft, with variable heights ranging from 100 to 500 metres. The earth is very well drained and contains various salts and minerals, rich in potassium. The climate is temperate and the air extremely pure and uncontaminated.
Today, it is his wife, Marisa, and his three children, Laura, Antonio and Alessandro, who look after the company.
