Tasting Notes

This fabulous, organic producer is one of the very few in the region to have started bottling under screwcap and it is doing so only for the Australian market. This wine is 100% Garganega from the volcanic soils of Mount Zoppega. Ripe, pulpy Garganega offers an abundance of spice and minerality, with a deliciously full, rich and honeyed texture. There are also notes of white flowers and hints of lemon-lime and quince. Delicious and dangerously easy to drink, this bargain should be stocked up on for inexpensive spring and summer drinking.

Azienda Argricola Daniele Nardello

Originally from Monteforte d'Alpone the Nardello family's roots reach back for centuries. Documentation of the family's history goes back to the second half of the 1600's when their vineyards first appear on the land registers. Wine merchants in Monteforte from the early 1900's Daniele and Federica are today the owners of the Nardello Cellars. Their tradition is "to give an interpretation of the land and to give value of this is an important path that we have undertaken since 2000 when we started producing wth our label." The company now has 14 hectares of land with the average age of the vine at 40/50 years. As new vines are planted new growing techniques are used that are more appropriate for high quality viticulture. The vineyards are situated between Mount Zoppega in Monteforte and Mount Tondo in Soave, both withind the "zona classica," the are that is more prone to yield a prestigious Soave.
