Tasting Notes

The 2011 vintage was cooler than average, allowing Riesling to show great varietal expression. The persistent cool evenings coupled with the free draining nature of the soil provided excellent conditions for growing magnificent cool climate fruit.

"High, bright floral, very pretty perfume that also shows a little tropical fruits, faint minerality and rose water aromas. The steely but lithe palate delivers a finely veined belt of grapefruit and green apple fruit character with just a hint of phenolic grip. Tangy, electric and perfectly weighted for drinking and some cellaring time." 92+ points, Mike Bennie, www.winefront.com.au

Eden Road Wines

Eden Road is one of the most exciting producers to emerge from the greater Canberra district proving that the trail blazed by Clonakilla was no fluke. The young yet experienced winemaker, Nick Spencer, has a crystal clear, long-term vision of making a range of exceptional, high-grown wines at remarkable prices. Already this producer has won the Jimmy Watson Trophy (with its first, very elegant Shiraz), received a Halliday 5 star rating and has been awarded the ‘Best new winery’ gong in the Age/SMH Good Wine Guide 2011.
